Advocate Hassan Babur Nehru of Doda released from Kot Bhalwal Jail | KNO

JAMMU ,FEB 21 (KNO) : Advocate Hassan Babur Nehru, leader of Anjuman e Islamia in Doda was released from Kot Bhalwal Jail here today on the direction of the court .

Advocate Nehru was arrested from Gandhi Nagar Jammu and was detained at the Kot Bhalwal Jail of Jammu for more than seven months. Advocate Hassan Babur claimed himself as a social and human rights activist. In the past he has highlighted a diverse range of social as well as developmental Issues in the Chenab Valley region. As a social activist his service towards people of far-flung areas and poor backgrounds has been exemplary.

He used to lead processions, protests and sit-ins on various socio-political issues. In his daily routine was the creating of awareness among people of their human, social, political and religious rights. He was emerging as a leader of the masses which is probably why the government has acted against him.

Talking to this media person Advocate Hassan Babur Nehru said he always raised public issues related to poor people and this is the reason government not tolerate and digest his social activities and arrest him .

He informed that seven months back he was picked by police from outside masjid and taken to police station Gandhi Nagar Jammu . Later he was shifted to another police station in Satwari and and after that lodged in Akhnoor police station and later sifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail from where he released after seven months .(KNO)
